Web Developer

Bookassist creates and manages online strategies for hotels and hotel groups. It is the industry-leading hotel booking engine in its home base of Ireland. Bookassist is expanding rapidly with additional offices in Madrid, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Prague and Munich and a client base of over 3000 hotels. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Web Developer to join the Web Design team in our office in Madrid.   Responsibilities: Implementation of new websites using Bookassist CMS for hotel clients. Develop new modules and functionalities for the websites. Maintenance and updates to client websites. Seamless integration of Bookassist codes and scripts into client websites. Testing codes and scripts on multiple browsers. Reporting and analysis on improvements and design of hotel websites. Provide technical assistance to Bookassist support team and Online Business Managers. Working with development team by suggesting new ways to maximize the capabilities of Bookassist services to clients. Working closely with Bookassist Online Business Managers to provide all Bookassist services to clients. Working with affiliates and designing or preparing files to integrate Bookassist functionality into their websites. Necessary Skills: Proven experience in a professional web design and development environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in current wed development trends and interest in the online development of the hospitality industry. Ability to prioritise own workload and work to exacting deadlines. Flexible and adaptable in their approach to client needs. Ability to work in a team environment and should have good communication skills. Enthusiastic and structured approach to development. Good problem solving abilities. Desire to learn about new products and keep abreast of new product developments. Must have the ability to conform to development/web standards. Experience/Qualifications: A relevant 3rd level qualification. Professional experience with: HTML5, PHP, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap and Sass. Professional experience working with CMS. Portfolio of work completed thus far, preferably online portfolio. Excellent computer skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Fluent English essential (other languages would be an advantage). Excellent organization and time management skills.-
