Simple Mobile App

The app needs to let the user register or log in. This can be any user name and it is ok if two users have identical usernames. Once logged in the user must be able to go to a CHOICES menu where they can choose to be on channel A and/or channel B. Also under that menu they can turn the app ON or OFF. They can only turn the app ON if they have clicked one or both check boxes for channel A and/or channel B. Once the app is ON it will look for other people using the same app inside of a given range, based on their GPS location. If there is another user within 5 miles who has the same channel checked the app will prompt the user as described below. (this could be any combination as long as both users have at least one channel in common. For example, if one user has A and B selected and user 2 only has B selected, the app will prompt each user. However, if one has only chosen channel A and the other has only chosen channel B, there is no channel in common so the app will not prompt either user.) If a user with a shared channel is in range, the app will give a notification that "(username) is in range." The alert is similar to receiving a text message alert. If the user clicks on it, they have a choice to "say hi" or "ignore". If they "ignore" then nothing happens and the alert is cleared out. If they "say hi" then an in-app chat box is opened up and they can send a text message through the app to the other user. This does not need to look pretty at all, does not need to support video, definitely should not tell the user where they are or where the other user is or how close or far they are from each other. This does not need to meet any kind of marketing standards to make sure that normal users will download it. This is a simple proof-of-concept exercise.
