When you got to [login to view URL], you can search for anything and view the prices for completed items. I want a program that averages all of these prices that are displayed, just like in that site.
I understand that the more specific your search query is the better the more exact average will be. There should also be a way to search only in a particular category.
I want the program that you can enter a ebay completed item search query into to give you an average price for the time period you specify, and the number of items ending for each time increment.
For example, you can specify by day, and it will give you the average price for auctions ending saturday, sunday, monday etc... out of what ebay gives you for completed items.
If you specify by hour, it should give you the average price of items ending at 1 pm, 2pm, 3pm etc...
From what it displays, it should calculate the "best bet", meaning what day of the week and time that from previous results an auction gets the highest average price.
If the search takes to long, the program should stop the search and tell the user that "too many results found, please be more specific" or something like that.
It should work like a text box and a submit key, and then displays the results on the actual page. This should work on the internet, (not a windows/linux applications) should be built into a web browser.
This would be used for someone that wants to buy something but inst sure about how much to pay.
Also would be used for someone who wants to sell something but inst sure about when to list it to get the most bids/highest price.
Please note: in order to search completed items, ebay requires you to be logged in (you must have an ebay account). I have created an account for this "bot" that you can use to login to ebay with.
