Need data scraped and forwarded as email alerts, when it changes. I monitor a website that sends data within a framed box at set intervals. At present I have to watch the monitor for changes, instead I want email alerts when there are updates. Sometimes there are no changes for minutes, while at other times there are many lines added every minute. So it needs to be compared and only changes sent out as emails. This has to be done either on location (Willoughby) or I can deliver a PC to you. It cannot be done remotely due to secure access only for one computer. All the details will be supplied to the right person.

Hi, I live around the corner in roseville, I can probably assist but need a little bit more detail with what you’re scraping, Scraping can be difficult off websites if the data is heavily formatted. Do you happen to have any screenshots of the data you’re scraping? Do you have any preferences on how this is done? Eg with a specific programming language? Cheers, Cam M

This project will be simple to complete by creating a C# application which checks the site at desired intervals (e.g. every 20 seconds). Recently I have worked on a freelance project which involves gathering currency data from various websites for automated trading, it would gather data every X minutes and send a trade order via various online trading APIs. With this experience I believe I will be able to complete your project quickly. The program can be made with a very simple GUI to allow changing the polling interval if desired. Any additional settings you require can be added too, such as an email timer which delays sending the changes for X minutes to just send one email with all the changes over the past X minutes, this would be to reduce the number of emails in your inbox. I am able to work on site at Willoughby. Thank you for your time and consideration.

If it's in an iframe, it might be more complicated. Is there any authentication required? Could this data be extracted through API call? Do you need to store the information? How often this page is refreshed? and what kind of "delta" (new line added, removed, updated) do you need to identify? How durable do you want this solution to be? Sending email might be the easiest part.
