The Humanist Society of Victoria (HSV) is a non-profit body that seeks to represent the aspirations and interests of humanists in Victoria, Australia. We've recently set up a MailChimp account and now need a subscriber form on our Wordpress web site. Job details are these: 1. Backup existing site at [login to view URL] (WP, Pagelines, database) 2. Install MailChimp plugin for [login to view URL] 3. Configure plugin to display subscriber form in right-hand sidebar under search box [see [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] for examples] Label: "SUBSCRIBE NOW" Fields: "First Name" "Last Name" "Email"; Button Text: "Subscribe" 4. Configure plugin to automatically add each new subscriber to MailChimp Group: "WebForm" 5. Discuss other configuration options (e.g., separate confirmation page, spam prevention) 6. Test new web form with all valid and error generating use cases 7. Resolve bugs 8. Document Wordpress and account configurations, scripts, etc (for future maintenance)

To design a subscriber form in the wordpress site. The tasks involved are: a. To backup the current site b. To install the mailchimp plugin c. Configure the plugin to display subscriber form at sidebar. d. The fields to be -fn, ln, email and subscribe button e. form submissions to add subscriber details to WebForm group f. To display separate confirmation page / spam prevention (captcha) g. To test the form and resolve any bugs. Will provide you the configurations settings of wordpress for your maintenance. While I don't have previous experience in MailChimp, I do have experience on freelancer.com with other WordPress plugins and would see this as a good opportunity to learn mailchimp. I can back up the site for sure, if given cPanel access. I'm not sure if I could do task #6, because brainstorming to find error cases could be difficult.
