We want to build a web based chat application that allows users to connect to other users randomly.
User will log in and then connect randomly to another user. Kind of like Omegle and Chatroulette
The chat room will be able to be fully administrated with such features as:
- kick users
- ban users based on IP address
- mute users
- manage registered users
Some of the features we need are:
- filtering search so members can be more specific with whom they randomly connect to (such as based on gender, age, location, etc
- Users will be able to create a personal profile with more details about themselves
- Users can set their own profile picture and themes
- Smiley/Emoji system can be used
- File uploading
- User can skip the current user and search again for another user if he doesnt like the current one.
Front end
- Professional design
- Fully responsive so it will fit any device
Technology i am open to suggestions, however, it must be very capable to handle several thousand users at once.
