Job Summary: The Back-End Web Developer is responsible for the server side of all web-based applications. This person must have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, working tirelessly to ensure system consistency and improve user experience, and ultimately developing and maintaining functional and stable web applications to meet our clients’ needs. What you’ll do: Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging Write clean code to develop functional web applications Troubleshoot and debug applications Perform UI tests to optimize performance Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic Gather and address technical and design requirements Provide training and support to internal teams Build reusable code and libraries for future use Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features Follow emerging technologies Promote usability best practices Represent KPI Agency with excitement, professionalism and and integrity. Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS, as well as asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Knowledge of SEO principles, and ADA Accessibility guidelines to ensure all development adheres to them Excellent analytical and time management skills and a high degree of integrity Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude, and the ability to leverage strong existing relationships, and develop new ones easily Excellent communications skills across all forms A self-directed approach, comfort with autonomy, and a commitment to greatness
