Storage Architect - EMEA

<div class="rich-text" itemprop="description">The Red Hat Sales team looking for a Storage Architect to specialize in our new Red Hat Storage products. In this role, you will support the Sales team as the technical expert in the delivery and implementation of Red Hat Storage solutions. You'll demonstrate a diverse understanding of complex storage systems, design value driven architectures, and present the application and ROI of these solutions as well as deliver compelling recommendations that directly result in closing new sales. As a Storage Architect, you will be seen by our customers as a seasoned technical expert. You'll help make open source technology both practical and workable for big enterprise customers, and help bring the best solutions to our customers by demonstrating the technical and business value of the Red Hat Storage platform.<br/><br/><strong> Primary job responsibilities </strong><br/><br/><ul><li>Gain an in-depth understanding of the customer's business and IT environments</li><li>Collaborate with sales executives in assessing the potential application of Red Hat products</li><li>Work with services teams to assist customers with the deployment Red Hat Storage products into their environments and act as a technical point of contact for customers Research issues in a timely manner and follow-up directly with the customer to resolve problems</li><li>Provide follow-up support in sharing and dispersing technical information on specific applications</li><li>Prepare detailed product specifications and implement detailed customer installation plans</li><li>Act as the storage solutions subject matter expert in-country</li><li>Educate the pre-sales and sales teams on our storage offerings and elevate our overall capability in this domain; host virtual training sessions, write internal technical white papers, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the EMEA solutions architect team</li></ul><br/><strong> Required skills </strong><br/><br/><ul><li>Demonstrated success in a technical pre-sales role supporting sales account managers, or a demonstrated interest in sales competency and a familiarity with post-sales activities while acting in a consultant role</li><li>Excellent presentation and documentation skills</li><li>Good communication skills and business insight to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations</li><li>Experience implementing and designing solutions in a variety of enterprise storage, networking, or high-end enterprise environments</li><li>Gluster or Ceph skills are a plus</li><li>Experience installing, administering, or troubleshooting client-server applications and operating systems on Linux, UNIX, or Windows</li><li>Knowledge of or experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, and SMB/CIFS</li><li>Familiarity with Bourne, Bash, Python, Perl, or other scripting or coding language, or C programming skills</li><li>Willingness to travel within EMEA</li></ul><br/><br/>Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
