Job description<br />This is a Seed Req intended for identifying candidates for future positions. <br /><br />Research is an exciting growth opportunity to influence new platform innovations for Intel. The Labs is looking for creative, entrepreneurial individuals who have a passion for delivering research vehicles that redefine how various technologies are consumed and serviced in platforms for tomorrow. <br /><br />Intel Labs Systems Prototyping Lab is looking for innovative and creative individual to accelerate research development vehicles to support our research scientists. You will work with internal development teams to design printed circuit boards. <br /><br />Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: <br />- Creating designs that explore emerging technical challenges <br />- Developing electrical circuit schematics to support prototype designs <br />- Developing schematic symbols <br />- Providing circuit board power on and debugging support <br />- Performing feasibility studies and technical analysis <br />- Developing BKMs, supporting CAD development, detailed board design and documentation <br />- Work closely with Sr. hardware engineers, layout, and other groups to implement circuits <br />- Developing software to demonstrate basic circuit functionality <br />- Coordinating transfer of PCB documentation and build information with fabrication/assembly suppliers <br /><br />The ideal person is one who exhibits behavioral traits that indicate: <br />- An ability to work independently <br />- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with design leads, and stakeholders <br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, internship, jobs and/or research experience. <br /><br />Minimum qualifications: <br />- Must have at least a BS in Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline <br />- Experience with schematic/PCB design <br />- Experience with the following skillsets: <br />- Designing high speed digital circuit, analog circuit, power circuitry <br />- Multi-layer board fabrication and materials <br />- Schematic capture, printed circuit board layout and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, DMM) <br />- Allegro and Cadence design tools <br />- Good soldering and rework skills <br />- Good English communication skills <br />- Excellent teamwork skills
