You will lead a team of 42 global architects located in the Americas, EMEA and APJ driving success with our Datacenter Services Offerings and product technologies. You and your team will be working closely with Services HQ, Services Field Sales and Delivery, C&E Marketing and Engineering, the Enterprise & Partner Group (EPG) and Hosting Service Provider (HSP) teams. Success requires both a passion for our field sellers and a desire to lead and shape our [url removed, login to view] Responsibilities include:• Partnering with key Services, BG and EPG stakeholders globally to develop, lead and execute strategy and programs for successful CoE engagement• Meeting quarterly and yearly performance KPI’s focused on successful datacenter solution sales, lighthouse wins, Service Provider deployments, and IP capture• Recruiting and managing a high performing team, including career aspirations and people development• Providing field and customer guidance during the solutions sales cycle • Driving operational excellence and innovation• Growing the field capability through mentoring, readiness, and community evangelism• Supporting and participating in key governance reviews with leadership from Services HQ, C&E, EPGThe Architect Manager is a leadership position in which you will be accountable for the results and execution of your direct reports, with core activities that will include:• Working closely with Services HQ teams to help develop sales, IP, compete, and GTM strategies and execution approaches• Partnering with regional Services and EPG account teams to identify and develop account opportunities and ensure successful delivery execution• Partnering with corporate BG and HSP leadership to plan and execute on strategic Service Provider programs e.g. CSP, COSN• Leading solution selling presales workshops with Business and Technical Decision Maker (BDM and TDM) audiences to accelerate the pipeline and ensure a Microsoft solution is preferred by the customer• Architecting solutions that leverage both the investment made in the Microsoft technologies and the customer’s current IT environment in the best interests of the customer• Providing governance and oversight to drive execution with Services and EPG and alignment across datacenter-related strategy and planning initiatives.• Assisting with IP development planning and requirements gathering for Services Solution Offerings; foster reuse initiatives and harvest best practices in presales, architecture, business planning, and customer engagement• Providing feedback to the Cloud & Enterprise BG to drive improvements across product, sales and delivery of C&E technologies and programsYou will bring the following to this critical role:• A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience delivering business value to enterprise customers• Experience involving technology consulting, solution presales, solution design, envisioning, planning, deployment and benefits case analysis in the following -- Cloud solutions, datacenter and hybrid cloud solutions for enterprise customers and service providers• Able to establish trusted advisor relationships with senior and executive levels within large, often global customers, taking ownership and responsibility • Direct people management experience a remote teams of more than 10 people, including ownership of employee recruitment, development, feedback, and impact reviews. • Relevant field-based knowledge of competing and winning against solutions and technologies from primary EMS competitors• A deep understanding of markets, customers, and technology; have the background to provide leadership in the practice and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client managementLocation is non-specific, but proximity to a major international airport is recommended. Global travel of approximately 50% is an integral part of this position as are high levels of recognition and visibility.
