We are looking to move hosting requirements to an alternative source and transfer our website and in-house web app to the new web server. The website needs to be hosted in a Windows environment and uses .cshtml files - were not sure how it was built or what it relies on, but its file structure is very similar to our internal 'web app' which we also use. The app is similar to a Client Mangement System which was bespoke built for us, we believe using .NET and requires an SQL database (latest db backup is only 50mb). We would be looking for someone to setup the hosted Windows environment, then upload the website and get that functioning & hosted (first). Once that is done, same deal with the web application (afterwards), perhaps as a seperate project and to reimport the database backup of our data. We have attached some screenshots which hopefully may help you identify the nature of the items... one is for the website, showing the 'release' and 'code' folder contents we have been provided with. I assume 'release' is what actually goes onto the web server, but we'd also like to know what has been used to develop the website. Secondly, is a Web App 'release' folder screenshot. Again we assume, is what is to go onto the Windows server environment via upload. Along with a final screen, of the 'db' and 'sys' folder contents which were provided inside a 'Developer' folder. The 'sys' folder on this screenshot we assume is the local copy / developer code base for editing or making changes etc. We also have been given this list of requirements for the web app to run... (but do wonder if the website requires these as well)... 1. .NET 2. IIS web server 3. Microsoft SQL Service 4. Microsoft Visual MVC Please let us know a timescale for getting each of these items (site and app) up and running, when you would be able to begin and obviously your cost as well. In basic HTML/CSS terms, this is: connect to a FTP server, upload files. Done. But obviously there's a couple of extra steps where .NET and SQL is concerned - which is where you come in! :)

Hi, I think it would be a 4 - 6 hrs job assuming that you already have a working code and it just needs to be configured in a new hosting environment. Yes, you would need a windows hosting package. A windows hosting package already comes with .NET, IIS and SQL Server 99% of the times. That is all what you need to host your sites. If you already on a shared hosting and moving to a different shared hosting, then it should be fine. But if you are on a dedicated server and moving on to a shared hosting, we will have to see if there are any server dependencies which do not work on a shared hosting environment. Hello, I have read through the job details extremely carefully and I am absolutely sure that I can do the project very well. I have reviewed screen shot you send and from structure application are build in MVC so in order to deploy this application to any other server that server must follow below requirments 1. IIS installed (with MVC 4 or 5 depending upon framework on which your application is build) . Most of new server e.g Windows server 2012 onward has latest framework so no need to worry 2. SQL database : either server must have SQL server or you have different hosting for SQL server to host database. I have plenty of experience in MVC application so I can do this job. Only one condition that code should be latest :) About myself, I am having 8+ years of experience in Web Development. Respected Employer, I looked at the screenshots and can confirm that both website and app are ASP.NET MVC based. I have the experience of setting up and deploying Microsoft.NET web applications on Windows servers with IIS. I also have the experience of restore MS SQL database backup.
