Corona SDK / Lua Android App - Bug fix and minor work... Bid up to £100

Hi, We currently have an app on iOS and Android called Check Your Change. On Android, when we release a new .apk, a small portion of our users experience data loss. We would like someone to investigate the cause of this data loss and fix the issue. The minor work is to make the spinner work properly during an update and to add a progress bar of the update progress showing the amount of coins being copied over as it happens. e.g 1 / 100 coins copied then the number 1 increases up to 100 as the coins are being re-written to the database. Currently we have a master database that sits in the apps main directory. When a user first uses the app the master database is copied into the documents folder. Users then manipulate the data through the interface and the changes are reflected in the database stored in the documents directory. The database is SQL Lite 3. During an update, we manually update the master database and publish a new .ipa / .apk file. When users open the app after an update it compares the users database version in the documents folder with the master database version in the app folder. If the master version is higher than the user version an update is performed by doing the following steps: - Loops through the database in the documents directory and stores the user coin data in memory. (The settings, acquired, used_quantity, new_quantity and notes columns) - Deletes the database stored in the documents directory. - Copies a new updated master database from the app directory to the documents directory. - Writes the user coin data to the newly copied database in the documents directory. Attached is the piece of code that runs during an update, if you can see what is wrong from that, then this could be an easy gig for you! For us to release payment, we will need to release the app to our Beta testers to test the update process to make sure the fix has worked and to check the spinner / progress bar works as intended.
