EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Objective To create a range of high end Aloe based products using 100% pure juice from the Aloe Secundiflora variety, known for it’s numerous heath benefits - very likely far superior to Aloe Vera and indigenous to Kenya. Once established as a successful brand, KenyAloe will engage local communities to the Mt Kenya region in becoming out-growers of what is a drought resistant, potentially lucrative cash crop. Goals To grow Aloe Secundiflora and extract the pure juice. Purify it using a simple process which requires minimal chemical additives. Create products using the pure juice instead of the more common reconstituted powdered form. Market the products internationally in order to create the highest value for the raw material and thereby:- Create an alternative farming practice that is not harmful to the water table in what is a marginal, arid area of Northern Kenya - for drought resistant Aloes and essential oils. Solution Pilot project on the Timau river with processing plant, laboratory, packaging facility. All powered off the grid in a sustainable and ethical way employing women from the area to further develop empowerment of women in a strongly patriarchal society. Project Outline There is already a very successful blueprint in place - a company named Curaloe who operate in Curaçao in the Dutch Antilles. KenyAloe will Draw up a budget for the entire project Seek funding for half of the overall cost from a single investor who will appoint a director Generate a crowd-funding page for the second 50% with “perks” of product ranges etc. - essentially pre-selling the product.
