I’m looking to develop a short whiteboard animation (i.e. drawing on a whiteboard or sketchbook) to promote a group of volunteer product ambassadors/evangelists.
The animation will be posted on a customer-facing Mendeley site.
We are looking for an illustrator who is:
Essential:
--England-based
--willing to draw live on camera by hand
--simple, clean, but fun style that matches our company’s culture of “changing the way we do research.” The end result will be speeded up and edited by our video editor.
--Willingness to do preparation work, such as concept meeting, storyboarding and production of external elements, a dress rehearsal (if needed) and live shooting.
--Ability to work collaboratively with the in-house team.
Nice-to-have:
--London-based
--Previous experience on similar whiteboard/chalkboard animations (not a blocker if you do not have this experience so long as you’re willing to experiment!)
The script idea is based around children’s paper dressing dolls (just do a Google image search for “paper dolls” if you don’t know what I’m talking about). We want to show a live-drawn researcher figure wearing successive paper doll-type outfits to illustrate the different motivations people have for becoming Advisors.
We have done a test draft of this using a talented co-worker but would like to hire a professional illustrator that matches our style.
Please submit 3-5 samples of hand-drawn work along with a time/monetary budget.
I have completed a number of projects that are very similar both in terms of content and style. Please follow links to my youtube channel and check out the whiteboard cartoons and animations that are linked to my detailed lectures on Theology, philosophy, history and classics. I am an experienced 2d animator working mostly with Harmony /toonboom. I enjoy working with other creative people, and am happy to both take and give direction where necessary 01327209924
