I am organizing a one-day conference for a student organization at my law school. The event will be publicized and webstreammed. Regarding theme: the conference will amplify the voices of communities experiencing environmental injustice by highlighting the truths of how specific communities are disproportionately impacted by environmental harms and policies. The day-long event will bring together community members, EJ advocates, and non-profit, governmental, and private practice attorneys. For context, environmental justice is a movement to fight environmental racism, or the phenomenon that people of color and low income communities disproportionately bear the burdens of pollution. We're looking for a full length poster, a banner, and a logo for the conference. The project has a really quick turnaround, as the event is scheduled for February 8, 2019. Looking for something that's an overlay like the attached Climate of Change event poster. I figured there could be a bigger silhouette of someone shouting with a megaphone, and maybe background a silhouette of protests. Perhaps the images within the silhouette would be images of pollution or something? Open to creative ideas!
