Design a logo and possible branding work for a new Technology Services Company

We are a technology consulting firm specializing in the needs of Architects, Landscape Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Contractors, and other creative professionals. We are in need of a logo for this venture that visually connects our clients with what we do. Our approach to working with clients is different from other technology firms by being significantly more collaborative. We work closely with clients to find solutions that best fit their needs and bring in additional experts when necessary. The name of the company is B Collaborative Inc. “B” is the initial of the owner’s last name. Collaborative was selected for two reasons – it’s our approach to working with clients and we collaborate with other technology experts – we can’t be great at everything! The design should be clean and simple, express traits of being approachable and professional, and create a feeling of confidence in our service. It should not be “busy”. The design should not be too “techie” or “geekie”, focusing more on the fact we are different from other IT service firms. Stylized “tech” elements are an option but should not be the only focus. Other ideas might be based around geometric forms, mid-century style design including Bauhaus and Googie architectural elements, and/or a stylized B of some sort. These should be considered a starting point – we’re open to lots of ideas. Successful designs will translate well to different print and screen sizes (phone, tablet, computer, etc.). It should translate reasonably well to grayscale when color is not an option. We’re looking to start with 5 to 7 design concepts/ideas that get QUICKLY narrowed down to 2 or 3 that will be explored a little more before selecting the final one to refine. Additional information provided upon successful selection including a number of inspiration images and general ideas. The following deliverables are required for this project: * Vector based Logo Mark (as a stand-alone image/icon) * Vector based Company Name Text with Logo Mark incorporated * Vector based Company Name Text with Logo Mark and Tag Line incorporated (Tag line may require some adjustments or the development of a new Tag Line) * Suggestions of different color pallet options for the above. * Suggestions for text based elements that might be used to reinforce the image/icon design (This may or may not be possible depending on how the design unfolds) All final artwork to be delivered as Vector based art in Illustrator CS 6 format. We will resize/render as appropriate for web and print use as necessary. We are Adobe CS technical experts but not graphic designers/branding experts. Maximum 3 day turn around on initial proofs/concepts after inspiration images are sent. There may be additional work such as business card layout and other promotional materials that are NOT part of this initial project.
