We're looking, ideally, for a C++ game designer/developer for our growing company to meet our manpower needs. Our company always tests run our game ideas and mechanics first before publishing on other platforms. We have many game idea and we will like to test run them as simple prototypes with just core mechanics. As such you will be developing simple games like Asteroids/Pong/Pac-Man.
The game’s design document, graphics and sound assets will be provided by our company but of course, your own experience and zeal is welcome. We offer flexibility with the proviso that you meet the basic requirements.
We are seeking these critical traits in the developer:
- Communicative (Provides regular feedback to the project status)
- Motivated (Intrinsically)
- Professional (In work ethics and software development)
- Punctual (Deadline is absolute in all our projects)
- Self Disciplined
Apart from the above traits, the developer should have the following knowledge:
- C++ Programming
- Computer Graphics (2D/3D)
- Linear Algebra (2D/3D)
- Windows Programming
- DirectX/OpenGL | Mostly DirectX
- Physics
- English
Above all these, you must be able to provide high-quality software with good structure and design. All source code should be professionally commented and documented. And our company will be the sole owner of all Intellectual Property provided by you.
Conclusively, we are looking for long term partnership, therefore there are a lot of opportunities awaiting you (e.g., you will be assigned projects successively) if you are proven proficient and have the traits that we admire. If you feel that you are the developer we want, please do bid with a message including: “I am the one.” This also facilitates our understanding that you have read through the above requirements.
For ease of communication, I suggest that you add us on Skype, iamfengxiao. All payments/projects will still be managed on freelancer.
Strong C++ (MS Windows) and OpenGL experience. Some Java ME experience. Some DirectX knowledge. Good mathematical education (particularly linear algebra). I am interested in long term work, so probably "I am the one".
