1. A bottled fruit production system consists of the following:

• The fruit arrives in the production room in crates. Each type of fruit arrives in a different jaba. The first stage of production is carried out in 2 tables of revision in parallel (2 resources), which as they go emptying take the jaba that is in line to review it. If in a jaba they find some fruit in bad state, all the jaba is rejected.

• After passing the review, the crabs are divided into 3 tails, depending on the type of fruit that is; bananas (cola 1), papaya (cola 2) and pineapple (cola 3). After the cola, the fruits go through the peeling and cleaning process. Each one goes through a different production line. For queue 1 there are 2 resources, for queue 2 also 2 resources and for queue 3 only one resource. When a resource is released, it continues working with the next jab that is in the queue that corresponds to attend.

• As a third step, the fruits go to the chopping stage. As soon as the peeling process is over, the fruits in crates pass to the chopping machines, where they enter one after the other as they come out of the peeling. If some fruit delays in biting, the crates that left the peeling stage wait for the chopper machine to be available. There is a mincing machine for each type of fruit.

• Finally, the chopped fruit goes to other trays that have the amount of fruit that will be placed in each final package. This is done by 2 resources immediately after being chopped, so that there is never a tail. Each of these trays is taken to the packing area, by different strips. To pack the final product that contains a mixture of the 3 fruits, all the fruit trays that will be packed must reach the packing machine. Each product will have equal proportions of the 3 fruits. After packaging, the product is sent to the warehouse of finished products.

a) Diagram the corresponding Petri Network. (5 points)

b) Suppose that in the chopping stage there is only one chopping machine and that after packing, the final product passes again through a quality check that could discard the product or send it to the finished products store. For the review there are 2 resources that work in parallel with the products that come out of the packaging machine that form a queue that is serviced according to the FIFO criteria. Diagram the Petri network again. (5 points)

2. The information office of the natural history museum has 4 workers who cater to visitors. Of the 4 workers 2 cater to tourists who speak Spanish or Portuguese and 2 to tourists who speak English or French. Each of the workers is identified through a sign that is above them. If the workers are busy the tourist will wait (queue). If a visitor who only speaks Spanish or Portuguese is in line and one of the workers who attends visitors who speak English or French is free, the visitor will have to wait for the corresponding person to attend. If the same happens with a visitor who only speaks English or French, the act is the same as described above. Tourists can not go from one queue to another. After receiving the information the visitors go to a room where they make a single line to leave their bags and bags and receive the visitor's sticker. If the visitor does not need to leave suitcases or bags the same goes through this room to receive the visitor's sticker. This queue is staffed by 3 employees. Then they go to the reception area of the museum. Of all the visitors that the information office serves, according to historical data, 55% only speak Spanish or Portuguese (they also arrive more frequently) and 45% only speak English or French. There are tourists who do not need information and they go in front of the room where they leave suitcases and bags and receive the stickers of visitors. The museum is very large and visitors are constantly entering and leaving, so they have never had any capacity problems. After receiving stickers, in order to give a better service, visitors receive electronic museum guides, as long as they have chosen this at the time of receiving the sticker. The delivery of the electronic equipment is carried out by 2 employees. If they have not requested the electronic guides, after the reception area they enter the museum. Based on this case:

a) Record the corresponding Petri Network, clearly identifying the transitions and places. (5 points)

b) Suppose now, that the information attention windows can attend any visitor, but that they must previously pass through cash to pay the entrance to the museum, where as they leave the payment area they are immediately receiving the electronic museum guides, make the Diagram of the Petri Network again.
