Greetings, I am Pranav. For your requirement, I would need to know a tentative size for each lot. There are three possibilities to finding the location of the vehicle. * GPS may not be usable in your case if the lots are covered / underground. Also accuracy is up to 4m only. * Using IMU sensors, along with GPS, would give much more precise location, but would require heavier computing resulting in more power consumption and costlier MCU. Also requires lot more effort to write and test algorithm and may require tuning specific to each site. * Using BLE Beacons and triangulate the position using multiple receivers. This would be cost effective, as well as power efficient. Downside is you would need multiple receiver nodes, in a mesh network. * One more idea comes to mind, which is also published by Texus Instruments, is to have TI low power wireless MCU receiver nodes in mesh network under each parking spot, but that would quite possibly increase your overall cost twofolds, since you'd be having as many receivers as the parking spots available. And also requires lot of effort in installation. My suggestion is to go with BLE Beacon Triangulation. We could discuss further on chat or by a video / phone call. I have been working in electronics design industry since 2012, and have ample of experience with projects involving low power wireless nodes.
