Read and process HTTP strings of texts using Arduino platform

We need to read a string of text shown on a HTTP web page, by using Arduino + Shield SIMCOM SIM900. We already developed a source code for this purpose, but is taking too long to read the string (40 sec aprox.). We want to enhance source code performance, making it better and able to read any text of string (with the same structure as the one we are already reading).
