Build Me a a Live Camera Feed System for a Track Car

I want a rear view camera for my track car that will constantly "live stream" the footage from a camera that is facing to the rear of the car to a display screen that is mounted in the cockpit - essentially being the tech equivalent of the conventional rear view camera. It needs to be a standalone system, simply plug it in to a 12V feed from the car's battery and it will work. I'm more of a mechanical engineer, so the part of the job that I really need doing is for someone to spec appropriate electronics components and any supporting coding work that is required to support those - I am capable of doing any CAD design work for mountings and housings etc. but I'm also open to the person doing this stage also. If this turns out to be functional and cost effective then there's the possibility that I could then produce a small amount of them to sell to others, but the quantities are only likely to just push into double figures if so - presumably this will mean that "off the shelf" modular components such as Raspberry Pi etc. will be the most cost effective way to produce the product.
