LoRa Gateway.
This project consists of the realization of electronic schematics and PCBs.
We want to make a complete LoRa Gateway.
Part 1.
This gateway must be based on the SEMTECH SX1301 chip and incorporate two SEMTECH SX1255 chips (433 MHz) as well as two SEMTECH chips SX1257 (868 MHz) for the Front End part.
A jumper on the PCB will configure which chips will be considered for the Front End part, knowing that the possible configurations are 2 x SX1255 or 2 x SX1257 or 1 x SX1255 + 1 x SX1257.
Part 1 must also be able to be done on PCB in order to become an autonomous module that can communicate via an SPI bus.
Part 2.
The second part consists of connecting the following part 1 and parts to a MICROCHIP PIC32 MCU.
The choice of the MCU will be made by the designer taking into account all the components to be interfaced.
This same MCU will also have to serve as Web Server to ensure the configuration of the Gateway easily and online.
A connector must be present on the PCB to program and update the MCU code via MICROCHIP PICKIT programming equipment.
Part 3.
A GSM / GPRS GPS-GNSS SIMCOM SIM868 module must be connected to the SEMTECH SX1301 chip in order to write the TIMESTAMP.
This same GPS will have to be connected to the MCU in order to be able to remove and reassemble certain data relating to the positioning of the Gateway.
This same module will also enable IP communication via GPRS.
Part 4.
An ESPRESSIF ESP8266-12F Wi-Fi module must be connected to the MCU in order to realize an AP access point whose objective is to be able to configure the LoRa Gateway via the Web Server integrated in the MCU.
Part 5.
An Ethernet connector must be available on the PCB in order to connect to a switch or router and send the information back to a server.
Part 6.
Gateway power must be available via a PoE Switch or 240V / 120V to 48V DC power adapter.
A built-in rechargeable battery must allow the gateway to operate continuously for a minimum of 24 hours.
Part 7.
A series of LED diodes must be present on the end of the PCB in order to display the details of certain operations (to be determined)
Part 8.
Web Interface and Web Server in the MCU should allow to visualize a maximum of information on the functioning of the Gateway but also to be able to encode the necessary parameters.
