Magento/server help needed with contact mail issue

IN SHORT: I need someone to get the contact mail feature working in a magento site. I want it to have working contact forms that send using the host's mail server. They should then autoforward to my gmail account. MORE DETAIL: Contact emails aren't arriving and this is most likely a server issue rather than a magento one. ***This has been edited to remove contact details. I have an issue with the contact forms on a website that is being built to replace an old one. The new website is on an unmanaged dedicated server provided by hosting company Rapidswitch, while the old (and current) website is with hosting company Clook (partially managed shared server). The current website is [login to view URL] (Clook) and the new website is being created at [login to view URL] My current website with Clook has a mail server and I have an email address called there, which is what the website contact form sends to. It's a Joomla site. The mail server autoforwards all mail to so I can manage it there. This is all working fine. My web developers are building the new magento site on Rapidswitch. The website also has a contact form. Asking that form to send to fails. Clook's tech team have advised that the messages arrive but their system won't autoforward these emails since the new website is sending from an invalid address. I tried creating a 'real' email account in Rapidswitch's mail server (). I did this and set their autoforwarder to to see whether Clook would accept it as a genuine email and forward onto the gmail account. Nothing arrived in . I then attempted to bypass Clook entirely and set the autoforwarder directly to but still nothing came through. I contacted Rapidswitch support about invalid emails and how to fix them, and they advised creating an rDNS for the IP address - which they then did. Clook got back to me - I had asked them if they had received an email after I changed the rapidswitch settings to send directly to . I wanted to know whether it had arrived and why the mail server still didn't like it. They said they received nothing but there was an entry in the log: Apr 3 15:37:53 mx1 postfix/smtpd[4063]: warning: [login to view URL]: address not listed for hostname [login to view URL] They said it looked like my SPF record was interfering. They said: 'the rapidswitch server was sending as now. should probably work, as connections to that server to send mail to that name does seem to work at the moment. Alternatively, using the 5th parameter to the PHP mail() function to send as something like should work.' I don't know what this means and they won't resolve it for me. (on another note, possibly related, I also noticed that the webmail feature in Rapidswitch plesk cpanel wasn't working. They advised I set up an A record for [login to view URL] (for some reason the dev team created it as [login to view URL]). I asked Rapidswitch to do that for me and they asked where the DNS hosted is present. I said the domain name ([login to view URL]) was pointing at Clook servers because that site is active still (it will be until I switch to the upgraded magento site). They asked if I have an A record setup for [login to view URL] as it would need one since it is a sub domain and a completely different record. I don't know what to do here either.)
