The job is limited in scope but I am a man trying to do a modest renovation of an old kitchen largely on my own and could use some ideas, guidance, support, and help in this process. There was a (not overly serious) fire in my building with some minor interior damage to my apartment. One thing led to another and I've retained a contractor to repaint the apartment and refinish the floors. I don't plan to change counters or cabinets in the kitchen but I would like to replace the kitchen floor, deal with the walls, replace appliances, lighting fixtures and make various repairs etc.
