We have 8 energy meters namely: ST-1, ST-2, Line-1, Line-2, Generator-1, Generator-2, GT-1 and GT-2. All these meters communicate using MODBUS protocol. We wish to fetch data from these meters and store it in a local MS-SQL database housed in a local server PC. We should be able to access this database. In addition,
i) In case of power shutdown of the local server PC, no data loss should be there i.e. the software should be able to retrieve data and store it in the database even for the time period when the PC was shut down. This is a critical requirement.
We would provide make and model no of the meters along with memory map for those meters
hi. I have 6+ years of experience in C#. I have interfaced a lot of hardware devices using Modbus. I'm very interested in this task and I can do this. please share the memory map and any other available documentation.
This has already been done by us. Do The meters stay powered during power fail of PC? Do meters collect data during power fail period? For how long? What if the power fail time is longer than this time? Is the map different for ST, Line, Generator, GT meters? After we get responses, a revised bid may be made.
