Need an active spread sheet for my house keepers at my hotels. Housekeepers are paid by the room not hourly...so there are 4 job statuses associated with housekeeping. Check Out, Stay Over, Towels & Trash, Do not Disturbs. Each of these statuses must have a dollar figure assigned to them based on the employee. We must be able to assign the dollar figure when entering the employees info and be able to update there info at any time. Need to keep track of daily housekeeping status for payroll. Need to be able to change the job status field by employee at the end of the housekeepers day if the housekeeper has any status changes. for example: if she was assigned 4 rooms as check outs and at the end of the day 1 of her check outs became a do not disturb then we should be able to click a drop down and update her status to 3 checkouts and 1 do not disturb. at the end of the day we should be able to print off a report on what she made for the day. then at the end of the week we should be able to pull a date range and pull 2 reports, on detailed report and one summary report to give to my bookkeeper for payroll.

Have you considered a custom web tool instead of Excel? If you are interested, what I propose is a simple administrative interface which you and your employees can access from a web browser. I feel this would be much more effective for managing employees and their data and it doesn't have to be expensive. You could allow house keepers to update their profiles any time (such as, if one gets a new phone number), features like this can save you time. Security can be implemented so that you can share as little or as much information with all of your employees/customers. It can be extended later if you decide you want to add more features. If needed, I could provide the ability to print reports as well as export data to spreadsheets. Let me know if you are interested. Cheers, Will
