This is right up my street. I'm an award-winning novelist ("After the Eclipse" -- Sanlam Literary Award) and a published short story writer (google Tom Rymour/TomLearmont). So far this year I have ghosted three novels for US clients: a cozy romance, a YA high school book and a fantasy. I'm about to start on the sequel to the YA book. As far as writing short stories goes, check out my Freelancer reviews. I have a wealth of experience on national print media as editor, sub, proofreader, columnist, serials author and rewriter. That's the good news, and here's the bad news: no self-respecting, experienced professional wordsmith is ever going to work for one cent per word. You'll get bids -- sure -- but they'll be from innocents who haven't yet learned the hard facts of life. One cent a word is going to end in tears on both sides of the deal. I have numerous samples of published romantic short stories, but what's the point? Just saying . . .
