How's this for a sample of engaging writing? The snow flurried in his face as he stumbled through the frigid wilderness, his breath caught in his teeth as the wind gusted and nearly threw him back a step. Even out here with nothing but the trees to judge him he still could not escape the guilt of what he had done. Sub zero temperatures threatened frostbite, but did nothing erase the ghost of hot blood washing across his hands. The wind still shrieked like that young card shark's date as he had gasped his last on the dirty sawdust floor of a makeshift frontier gambling parlor. So the desperate man trudged even farther north, a wretched black stain against the pure white landscape of the frontiers arctic forests. A howl rose in the distance that shot icy needles of fear up his spine and into his heart. Perhaps the trees were not the only living things keeping him company after-all..... That's right off the top of my head. I'm pretty good at making my writing interesting but I'm TERRIBLE at developing plots. Seem's like we have the opposite problem and could help each other out. I know I'm new so I am willing to work for very little so long as I get good reviews if my work is deemed worthy of it.
