I have a vast experience of working on ASP 3. Also, I have a great experience of web programming in general. The security check you are talking about seems to be quite simple. I have done similar things in other websites as follows: 1) Create a login mechanism via user name and password. 2) On successful login, assign a session variable called "username". 3) Create a centralised code snippet that checks that the above session variable is set. Otherwise, throw an error to the user. 4) Include this snippet in all secured pages. 5) This would make all secured (non-public) pages check a valid login at load time and would not load otherwise.
