This is a small part of a story I was working on, I find it easier to gauge a writer if you actually see there writing. Pit a pat, pit a pat, pit a pat, the soft sound of the rain pelting the ground around Sam echoed in his ears as he laid there staring up at the charcoal grey sky, it slowly darkened, with his lifeless cobalt blue eyes as the rain slowly fell harder and faster. The soft patter soon turning into a torrent of thunderous raindrops as they hit the ground, and his body soaking him. Breaking the dead silence of the forest as he lay there broken and forgotten like a child’s toy tossed aside for something new and shiny. His clothing torn and shredded, barely covering his pale bruised and bloody form, did little to protect him from the harsh cold stinging as the raindrops pelted him.
