Hello! My names Oliver, I'm currently putting together a resource surrounding telescopes, astronomy and astrophotography and am looking for a writer to join our team. The site will look to help beginner astronomers with common issues to do with imaging and photography, equipment guides and reviews and anything else astronomy or astrophotography related. The suitable candidate does NOT have to be an expert in astronomy but must be a keen enthusiast in the the field. Whether you are college educated or are a keen hobbyist who has been in the field for a few years then we want to hear from you. Writing experience is a must and must be able to work with a range different content types from educational, conversational to review pieces. SEO knowledge is desirable but in no way necessary for the role. If you think you are the right person for the job then please submit a brief overview of who you are, previous writing samples if you have them and if you own a telescope or imaging equipment please let me know what you have and the work you do. Native English speakers only please, a preference to US English but this is not a hard and fast requirement. We will be shortlisting candidates and will be offering a paid trial before deciding on a final writer. Our preference is to pay on a per word basis at 5 - 7 cents per word, however hourly options are available. Work will be long term and ongoing. ATTN: Optical Mechanics Good day, Oliver. I am Dancel John, an aspiring Astrophysicist in the Philippines. I aim to get a career centered around this dream. I have loved astronomy since I was a kid, I read a lot of books about science - from almanacs to articles to all sorts of sources, but I usually stop and savor the pages with space being talked about. This job would be perfect for me. I specifically searched this project in the search bar:" astronomy blog" because it's the only type of job I want: anything about space. I know a lot about imaging, telescopes, and instruments. I am also very passionate in learning more. My current pondering includes my self-debate on whether anti-particles are responsible for hubble's expansion and maybe we are looking for something which wasn't there in the first place (dark energy). (word limit restricts me from talking about more things) I also hold the book: Hubble's Universe, a book about the latest images from the legendary telescope that has captured thousands of images for scientists and enthusiasts to admire and get inspiration from ( not to think that this is its only purpose, but seeing those beautiful and crisp images does get your astro-spirit going). I am also reading Death by Black Hole written by Neil Degrasse Tyson. It's a very detailed and fun book that explains a lot of phenomena and just about most of the astronomy community. I can lower my bid if you like. I mostly just want to do a job I really love
