In order to fulfill my mandate and capture the relevant data required for the focus group. I will develop Project Deliverables. Deliverable 1: Establish a list of participants for focus group Deliverable 2: Develop and establish discussion guide for group Deliverable 3: Coordinate group meeting Deliverable 4: Host/Moderate meeting with group Deliverable 5: Coordinate a debriefing for all critical stakeholders Deliverable 6: Compile a detailed summary report for submission WHY CHOOSE ME? I have over ten years of experience moderating Focus groups. As a Curriculum developer, I have had the luxury of assisting a team to develop and implement the concept of Occupational Standards in my home country Jamaica. In order to develop the standards, focus groups comprising of experts from the field, had to be developed, targeting specific job functions. These stakeholders were then invited to a focus group meeting and through discussions, were able to itemize the various functions required for a specific job along with the knowledge and skills that would be needed to function effectively. A moderator for such a group had to be skilled at group control, while balancing the ability to keep everyone on track and successfully getting the desired information from the experts.
