Update Android Webview to support camera capture on Samsung phones

I have an existing Android webview app which loads an internal system that requires access to the camera to take and upload photos within the website.
The device we have been using to run the app is no longer available, so we are looking to move to at least the Samsung Galaxy xCover 5 running Android 11 to run the app.
On testing the new phone, the camera functionality does not work. The camera is loaded when the button is clicked, the photo can be taken however it is then not passed to the webview.
I am looking for either an existing Webview that I can use to replace the out of date webview we use, or for our existing webview code to be updated to work. Our existing app is written in Kotlin.
We are also handling phone, navigation, geolocation within other aspects of the webview.
