The task is to monitor mail coming in to a Gmail account. The emails are generated by code on a remote server. The subject line of each email contains information regarding the status of apps on the remote server. There are two discrete types of alert conditions that need to be identified. Type 1 alert is true for any incoming email with specific words in the subject. Type 2 alert is only true in the absence of a ‘heartbeat’. That is, a ‘heartbeat’ email will be generated at a set interval of n seconds. The subject of the email will contain the words Heartbeat_<ServerName>. If the ‘heartbeat’ email is not received within a user specified time interval, an alert will be generated. In case of an alert condition, create a notification on an android mobile phone. The subject line of the email will be displayed as text on the home screen of the android mobile phone and a specific sound file will be played. Requirements Type 1 alert - The “specific words” in the subject are a user input - Make provision for turning alerting on and off. Requirements Type 2 alert - User specified time interval to checkfor missing heartbeat is a user input. - Make provision for turning alerting on and off. - Repeat notification at the set interval until alert condition is false or alerting turned off. Requirements both alert types - On the Android phone, ensure that sound will play and the text will be displayed on the home screen regardless of “Do Not Disturb” setting. Note about user inputs: It is ok if it requires the user to go into the code to change the inputs.

It is ok if it requires the user to go into the code to change the inputs. To handle Gmail account with third party software, the OAuth has to be used. It provides Json file. I have built such project using .Net framework. I want to discuss with you about the project. Regards. Thanks.
