Hi there,

I am looking for someone to design the look of some characters. The characters will be used on a childrens website, so that is the targeted audience. Once I have chosen your character design I will provide you with a lot more work to develop the website and a book featuring the characters. So this competition is an assignment for more work! I am looking for creative people who can deliver high quality drawings that are attractive for children and triggers their imagination.

So: what characters am I looking for? The website will be in dutch and called "Fos en de Matenboei" which means "Little Fox and his friends". Fox is a little boy of around 4 years old who experiences a lot of adventures with his stuffed animals. The main charachters will be:

Fox:
A 4 year old dutch boy (human!!!) who is adventures and has a large imagination. He has blue eyes and light brown hair. I've attached a photo of what "Little Fox" looks like in real life right now. In real life he is still a baby of 10 months old, but it would be fun if you could use this photo as a starting point for his look.

The stuffed animals:

Mole:
Mole is a ofcourse a mole. He has a lot of knowledge but also thinks he knows everything there is to know. He always gives little Fox advice about what to do, but he mostly is wrong with his advice.

Anthony:
Anthony is a little orange monkey who is very naughty and adventures. He always tries to tempt little Fox to do the wrong things. He is very energetic.

Onno:
Onno is a purple octopus who is afraid of almost everything that happens around him. He always sees danger ahead. Little Fox always has to convince him of participating.

Mikey:
Mikey is a grey ant eater who is very slow and a little bit dumb. He is quite fat compared to the other stuffed animals and he gets teased by that a lot. He might be slow and dumb, in the end everybody loves him for his sillyness, and so does little Fox.

Henry:
Henry is a yellow dog with brown ears. He is the most smart characters of the group. He is the thinker of the group. There where mole always is the first to react, Henry is a little bit more in the background, but when he talks, he says the right things!

These are all of the 6 characters. I hope you can provide me with some nice character designs so I can let you start with all the other works I have for you!

  Okay! I agree, but then again I'd like to see what all characters may look like. So let's say: I want to see at least the characters of the little boy (Fox) and 2 of the others! Seems like a good compromise doesn't it?
