150th Anniversary Brand Identity:
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools

On September 19, 2014 Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools will celebrate the milestone of education and the opening of the first school house in the community of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. A legacy of teaching began in the district when the Sisters of Charity (founded by Ste. Marguerite d'Youville in 1737 and more commonly known as the Grey Nuns) arrived in St. Albert from Lac Ste. Anne in 1863. Construction of a small convent that served as schoolhouse and hospital when needed was completed in 1864 on the site which is now known as the Little White School House. To mark this important historic occasion a series of celebrations are planned for the 2014-2015 school year across the District and in the community.

To facilitate promotion of this milestone the District will require a unique Brand identity that commemorates this historic occasion, advocates for Catholic Education in the region and communicates consistent messaging with the existing brand identity for the District.

Elements of the Brand Identity require a stand-alone logo that can be built in forms that can be used in a variety of print and digital applications both large and small. The logo will be used in conjunction with the existing brand for the District but may or may not include some consistent elements (i.e colors, fonts, etc.) The District would like to be able to review a minimum of 2 submissions for consideration.

The following information should also be incorporated into the logo design:
• Faith in Our Students
• Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
• 1864 – 2014
• Celebrating 150 years

Logo files should be built and available in an eps format, and any in design files, along with pantone colors should also be provided.
