Resumen del concurso
Our project is called RICE for ‘Roosevelt Island Climate Evolution’ Project. The project is a 9-nation collaboration and we drilled a 760m deep ice core from Roosevelt Island, a small island at the northern edge of the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica. The aim of the project is to determine how quickly the West Antarctic Ice Sheet could collapse, raising global sea levels by ~3m with the potential to impact millions of people. The logo should represent avant-garde science and should be modern and clear. The only word should be ‘RICE’ , but the graphic should encapsulate some (or all) of the following ‘Antarctica’, ‘Drilling’, ‘Ice’, ‘Research’, ‘International Collaboration’. Hi Anton, I'm sorry you feel that way. I did like your entry and saw real potential both for yours and three others but did like this one better. I feel that the style is quite different. Thank you for your effort - it's always difficult when you can only chose one.
