the products on this store are all boxes of sweets, the above link demonstrates a box of 3 (the 3 comes from an attribute), basically the add to basket button needs to be disabled until exactly 3 items are selected (either checkbox or qty box)

Instead of using javascript, you can use form validation for the html form. That way you have less script to load..
