I need a clean, modern logo for Long Memorial United Methodist Church here in Cordova, AL. The finished mark must feature three key elements: the full church name, an outline or simplified silhouette of our building, and the United Methodist Cross-and-Flame symbol. Please work primarily in a red, black, and white palette; subtle tints or grayscale variants are fine for mock-ups as long as the core colors remain clear in the final artwork. You’re welcome to experiment with the phrase “OPEN DOORS. OPEN HEARTS. OPEN MINDS.” but include a version without it as well so our team can compare. I’m aiming for a modern aesthetic—think balanced spacing, strong typography, and a logo that scales cleanly from a sanctuary banner down to a social-media avatar. Deliverables • Two high-resolution, print-ready files (with and without the tagline) in AI, SVG, PDF, PNG, and JPEG formats • A monochrome variant for one-color applications • A short usage sheet outlining typefaces and Pantone/HEX values Acceptance criteria: the logo must reproduce crisply at 1" height, retain legibility on dark and light backgrounds, and clearly display the Cross-and-Flame alongside the building outline without overcrowding the church name. CH, a word of warning, you're going to get Many HUNDREDS of entries and the bulk will be AI generated, 99% AI. These scammers paste your competition details into an image generator and submit the result within seconds flat. No thought, no craft, no talent. Genuine hand crafted design takes real time and creative skill, and that difference shows clearly in the work. This is why so many entries will look almost identical, AI has no imagination, only your words to go on. A skilled human designer brings what AI simply cannot. Also be wary of several entries posted in rapid succession, a real designer never works that fast. SAMENESS IS THE GIVEAWAY, THAT'S AI. ALSO PLEASE NOTE!!! AI-generated images carry zero copyright protection, leaving any third party free to replicate the design, which could lead to legal disputes over ownership or usage rights down the line.
